Bounding into the New Year!

Apricot Ginger Scones. Because you need a taste of spring and summer in the middle of winter!

Happy New Year! I had a great holiday and hope you did too. (If you don’t celebrate Christmas, I sincerely hope you got some sort of nice mid-winter break.) I posted a bunch of pics & vid from Houston Zoo Lights (and Christmas) on Instagram, made a second dog sweater (just in time for a record-breaking heat wave), and enjoyed spending time with friends. New Year’s Day I did my annual Hair of the Dog Brunch. My Apricot Ginger Scones were a big hit. I do intend to write a bit more for the group food blog this year, but at the moment working on various books are the priority — and ramping up to the new book release in March! Wishing you a creative and joyous 2016 filled with all kinds of wonderfulness! 😀
