One of the Houston WriMos shared this link, October NaNo Prep Calendar, on Facebook and I thought it was interesting and might be helpful for those of you planning –or pantsing– a NaNo novel this month. I don’t think that the actual sequence of doing things would work for me (the antagonist profile is done a week after the protagonist, which seems odd to me), but clearly you could swap some tasks around and come up with an easy custom agenda for your novel prep. It’s a nice list of things to think about and sort out for a novel before you start writing. Even pantsers like me need to think things through before beginning. Speaking of which…I’m once again dithering about whether or not to do NaNoWriMo. I’ve got a ton of other projects I’m working on, but on the other hand, if I only do NaNo when I’m all caught up and don’t have any ongoing drafts, then it’ll be years before I do it again. LOL! 😉 By the way…the link I shared above is on Writers.com. I don’t know anything about the site; if you’re familiar with it, let me know what you think.
